+ Stories: Konstantinos Zimeris
(Katichori 1886 – Volos 1980) He attended the Volos School of Commerce. In 1904, he went to New York to study painting and photography but returned to Greece to fight in the Balkan Wars. In 1918, he began to work as a photographer, in collaboration with Antonis Rafanidis, capturing images of the public and private life in the city and the countryside of Volos. He earned two gold medals for his photography in the World Fairs of Liverpool and Thessaloniki.
